Internship-A Great Opportunity

An internship is a learning basis as well as support to get an experience from reputed channels. I completed two internships and currently proceeding with a third one to get more experience. We were given a certain duration to complete our internship. As per my experience, I learnt all the things which are the most essential requirements for our future. To be a professional media person, one must go through this period of learning at a certain level. 

Basically, we worked as Asst. Reporters and Asst. Editor for outdoor shoots to understand the concept of field work. there were also separate sessions to understand the concept of journalism for interns which is usually taught by senior (Reporters and Cameramen). For outdoor shoots I got an opportunity to interview Harbhajan Singh, Y. P. Singh, Anupam Kher, Mahesh Jethmalani, Rahul Narvekar and many more famous personalities. I was more interested in  covering stories of general beats which   included politics, crime and other local stories. 

Electronic media plays a major role in India and gives enormous coverage to the number of viewers.  Our seniors treated us extremely well and were friendly. I realize that one must be a teamplayer with lots of co-ordination. Our seniors are great team players and encourage the team. They gave equal importance to general as well as the entertainment beat. 

If anyone is stepping into the field of media, especially journalism, one must take up an internship to learn about the job and have fun at the same time.  

Experience is an essential requirement to learn and understand the concept of journalism, You will not face any issues and can easily step forward with no criticism.
